Skip a Payment

Ever wish you could use your loan payment for something else?

You can. TruChoice members can skip up to two payments in a 12-month period. It’s a way to free up money you need for unexpected expenses.

It’s easy to set up

You can access this loan feature right in online banking.

Look for "Skip a Loan Payment" under "Manage Your Loans" on the left side of the home screen.
Click on it and select the correct loan.
The system will walk you through it from there.

Or find it in your “Account Summary” section. Click the three dots next to the correct loan, click "Skip a Payment” and follow the prompts.

Things to know

What loans are eligible?

Auto Loans, General Purpose Loans, Share/CD Secured Loans, and other Secured Loans.

How often can you skip a payment?

Two monthly payment skips per rolling twelve-month period and a maximum of six skips over the life of the loan (with at least a 60-day gap between skipped payments).

Can you skip your first payment?

You must make at least one payment before you can skip a payment.

Will my scheduled payment transfers automatically forward to the next payment date?

No, you will need to change the scheduled transfer date. You can do this in the 'view/edit scheduled transfers' area of online banking or the mobile app. You can also text or call us at 772.0808.

Is there a fee?

This service has a $25 fee.
