New Website FAQ
What has changed?
The layout, menus, and design of our website have all been updated. As you can see, we’ve streamlined our menus, made each page more user-friendly, and condensed similar pages. As always, we want to make life easier for our members – so we’ve simplified our site to help you quickly find the info you’re looking for.
Why have we refreshed the website?
While our previous site was fresh and fun back in 2015 when we launched it, over time it became outdated & bogged down by elements which no longer work as well as they used to. The new site works better, loads faster, and should make it easier to find what you’re looking for.
Over the years, we’ve heard from members that they want easier navigation, less distractions, and a better user experience – 3 things which we built into our new site!
The new website is clean, modern, and easy to use – and has fun new elements that bring us in line with current website trends and capabilities.
Why is the menu different?
We built the new site with best practices for web design and wanted to keep things simple and clear. Instead of a large menu with each loan type crowding the main menu, we’ve condensed it to ‘Borrow’ – and from there, you can navigate to what you’re looking for. Same for ‘Spend & Save’ – we wanted an easy place to find all your basic banking needs – just hover over the new menu items and you’ll see the details pop up beneath them.
Has the website address changed?
Nope! You can still find us at trufcu.com. If you’ve bookmarked the page, it should bring you right to our new site. We suggest taking a moment to clear your browser history & cookies, just to make sure your browser isn’t holding on to old page data.
I can’t find what I’m looking for – how do I know which menu it’s under?
With less crowding in the menu, we’ve made it easy to hover over the menu headers and see what is under each one. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll familiarize yourself with the new layout. You can also use the ‘Search’ feature to find what you’re looking for – just click on the magnifying glass at the top of the page. Still can’t find what you need? We’re here for you – reach out and we’ll help get you there!
All the rates are on one page now – I’m used to seeing them on separate pages.
Over the years, we’ve heard a lot of feedback from members that they don’t want to have to click separate pages to find all our rates. We agree that can be a lot of extra clicking! We tried to simplify our rates by putting them all in the same place – so you can compare our InCheck rates with our Certificate rates and Money Market rates all in one place. Plus, check out the ‘Jump to’ area on the right-hand side of the rates page – you can easily navigate right to the rates you’re looking for!
How will I login to online banking?
The same way you always have! To save space, we’ve made it so the login box pops up when you click ‘Login’ at the top of the page. Everything else about your online banking will remain the same.
I was used to the old website, is there any way I can still use that?
We get it – change can be stressful, especially if you’re short on time. The reality is that our old site was slowing down, and after almost 10 years it was showing its age. We listen carefully to member feedback, and we’ve heard from several folks that our website needed clear navigation and a better user experience. We’re proud of the new site, and we’re confident that you’ll grow familiar with it in no time! We’ve had to learn where to find things too, and our team was surprised at how quick and easy it was to find what they were looking for. With the launch of the new site, the old version has been sunsetted and is no longer available to use.
