TruChoice Federal Credit Union Sweepstakes Rules
OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. By participating in a Sweepstakes, you are providing your signature, consent and agreement to receive emails from TruChoice Federal Credit Union. Entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules.
1. Eligibility. Sweepstakes are open to all residents of the United States 18 years of age or older, in good standing of TruChoice Federal Credit Union, except directors, board, officers, and employees of TruChoice Federal Credit Union (“TruChoice”). Any additional eligibility requirements will be provided in the promotional materials for the sweepstakes. Sweepstakes are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
2. Sweepstakes Period. The sweepstakes will run for the period of time identified in the promotional materials for the sweepstakes.
3. Entries. There is no purchase or donation necessary to enter or win any sweepstakes. A purchase or donation does not increase the chances of winning. Specific entry requirements will be provided in the promotional materials for the sweepstakes. By entering, the entrant agrees to be bound by the sweepstakes rules and represents that they meet the eligibility requirements. TruChoice Federal Credit Union reserves the right to refuse, disqualify, or withdraw any entry at any time. All entries submitted become the sole property of TruChoice Federal Credit Union and will not be returned.
4. Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE). Alternative Method of Entry is available for all sweepstakes via a mail-in postcard. Please submit a handwritten 3"x5" card with your full name, address, phone number, and the title of the sweepstakes to P.O. Box 10659, Portland, Maine 04104. Any postcards received after the end date stated on promotional material will be deemed void. Writing must be legible and any handwriting deemed ineligible will be disqualified at the discretion of TruChoice Federal Credit Union. All entries submitted become the sole property of TruChoice Federal Credit Union and will not be returned.
5. Winners. Winners will be chosen by random drawing. Odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries and cannot be projected. Winners do not need to be present at the drawing to win. Winners will be notified by letter, telephone, and/or e-mail. If for any reason TruChoice is unable to contact a prize winner or TruChoice determines that a winner is ineligible or has otherwise violated the sweepstakes rules, that prize is forfeited and a new winner will be chosen.
6. Prizes. Only one prize will be awarded to any one winner in a sweepstakes; winners in a prior sweepstakes are eligible for prizes in a subsequent sweepstakes. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, and no prize substitutions may be requested. TruChoice reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of similar value at its discretion. Winners are required to pay taxes if applicable. TruChoice will issue a Form 1099 for tax purposes when required.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to the Official Rules and TruChoice Federal Credit Union's decisions, which are final and binding in all respects. Information collected online in connect with any Sweepstakes will be governed by TruChoice Federal Credit Union.
7. Releases. TruChoice may use each winner’s name, address, and likeness without compensation in advertising or otherwise. TruChoice is released from any and all liability arising out of participation in a sweepstakes. Each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless TruChoice and its directors, officers, and employees, as well as all prize suppliers, from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, or misuse of the prize.
8. Disputes. All issues or questions regarding the sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maine, regardless of any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the sweepstakes or prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by an appropriate court located in the State of Maine. Entrant hereby waives all rights to punitive, incidental, consequential, direct, or indirect damages, including attorney’s fees and other legal costs or expenses, other than the entrant’s reasonable costs of entering the sweepstakes, and also waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
